Tomantron MuxiPort Intelligent Serial Data Multiplexer Simple Type: Serial Device Server

MuxiPort is an intelligent serial data multiplexer designed to enhance communication capabilities of Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC5, SLC5/03, SLC5/04, MicroLogix). It is capable of multiplexing the RS-232 port on an Allen Bradley PLC into two separate user ports. Furthermore MuxiPorts can also be cascaded to provide two additional user ports or low cost limited networking capability. There are (3) RS-232 ports on the MuxiPort: port 1, port 2 and a PLC port. Ports 1 and 2 can be set-up to communicate with the user device via either a DF1 or a generic ASCII protocol. The PLC port always communicates with the PLC via a DF1 protocol.
